Lewis of Durham was walking to a table in a local café when she slipped
on some butter that had not been cleaned up from the floor, despite another
customer having reported it to a member of staff some ten minutes earlier. Miss

Cardiff was walking home from work when she tripped over a raised paving stone,

walking down some steps at a railway station. The roof was in a state of
